Lets Start at the Beginning

It's the day before we leave to take Jordan to Utah to the MTC.  He doesn't go to the MTC until Wednesday, but we are leaving tomorrow so that we can have the last couple of days together as a family.  We are trying to prepare today so that when he gets set apart, we can get on the road and leave, but let's face it, I'm kind of a mess!

I figured if I put a few words on this blog maybe I can pull myself together and get some stuff done.  I suppose this blog will be my way to pen to paper (or keyboard to screen) my emotions, as well as, share what's going on with Elder Rowley as he serves in the Florida Orlando Mission.

What I really want to share is when the preparation starts.  He's been packing up his room for about a month, working on his suitcase for a week, or so, read the Book of Mormon over the summer, but let's go back to the beginning.....

It started here, before Jordan was ever even born.  His mission prep started the day we got married and started our eternal family.  Every single day since then has been p-day for every single one of our children, it's just that Jordan got there first!  Individually, some of those days were successful and some of them were not so successful, but as a whole, I think we've done OK.

It's an exciting time for him as he prepares to spread his wings and fly.  It's an exciting time for our family to watch him grow and become the man our Heavenly Father wants him to become.  We pray that those he is meant to serve will embrace him and love him as if he is their son.

We will continue preparing.
